Summary
In this role as a Semi-Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of different duties within the composites value stream.

Triage Operator
Debag Operator
Inserts Operator
Triage

Triaging countersinks, including measuring and re-countersinking as required, pre-delivery
Installation of metallic inserts to composite detail panels using a variety of resin systems
Edge sealing panels in preparation for painting, using a variety of resin system
Read and accurately follow work instructions, specifications and part drawings (accessed via PC)
Accurately complete work route cards to maintain component traceability
Contribute to reducing the scrap levels within the businessDebag

Mould Tool preparation for the composite lamination / lay-up process
De-Bag & Part Mark after the curing process
Preparing Numerically Controlled (NC) fixtures for trimming
Operating various machinery (Forklift, Hubtex, AGV & MGV) for the movement of fixtures
Batch preparing damming for use in the clean room
Mixing of filler and blue ice when requested for use within lamination / lay-up process
Movement of panels from post trim to the next process, ensuring all panels are made hand safe prior to movement
Operating the MES system and ensure panels are located correctly
Raising Deficiency Reports (DRs) as required
Recording panel countersink measurement for data collection
Mould Tool & Part movement around the composite facility
Inserts

* Good knowledge of health and safety

* Excellent time keeping
* Previous experience of composite detail manufacture and/or working with composite carbon fibre and similar materials would be an advantage but not essential
