Payroll Advisor

This vacancy is based in our Head office in Rednal B45 9PZ

What You’ll Be Doing

In conjunction with the Payroll Manager and Analyst complete all processing and pay overs which need to be up to date and paid out by the agreed deadlines.

Through demonstrating due diligence in data input, the Payroll Advisor ensures we provide a world class payroll service for our colleagues across the UK and Ireland

The day-to-day processing and advising of:

* Maternity, Paternity and Adoption pay

* Shared Parental Leave

* Company paid and Statutory sick pay

* Court Orders and Attachment of Earnings inc. Student loans

* Starter Checklists and P45’s

* P60’s

* Loans

* Pension

* TT payments

* First point of call to deal and resolve queries raised by line managers

* Input advances into SAP prior to the Supplementary Bacs run

* Liaison with third parties including: CMS, DWP, HMRC, Irish Revenue

* Complete statements of earnings

* Check bank statements for any monies returned

* Liaise with Central HR team and Employee Relations teams to resolve any payroll issues

* Payroll account reconciliations?

* Assist with training of new team members

* In conjunction with the Payroll Manager, be responsible for the processing of the monthly and 4 weekly payrolls

* Prepare and process 3rd party payments, including union/voluntary deductions

To be successful in this role you will need:

Essential

* GCSE Maths grade A-C or equivalent qualification

* High levels of organisation

* Knowledge of PAYE, NI, Statutory payments (Sick Pay, SMP, SPP)

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Excel skills an essential – Vlookup, Pivot tables are essential.
