Our client is looking for a skilled experienced wood machinist / joiner to join their team based at their factory in Fareham.  The company produces products for high end clients, such as hotel owners, yachts, and cruise ship companies, high end domestic properties, must have a passion within this sector, presentable, reliable, enthusiastic, and a can-do attitude thinking out the box.  Must be a good team player, and use initiative whilst working on your own, and liaising with the team.

As a wood machinist / joiner, you will be responsible for constructing cabinets, shelves and other bespoke wooden furniture such as bars, features, kitchens, have the ability to read 2d / 3d drawings.  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a wood machinist factory-based role, relevant qualification preferred, overtime available.

Duties

Attention to drawings 2d / 3d
Assemble according to specifications
Extensive measuring skills
Work with designers to create custom designs
Maintain a clean and organized work are
To work general wood / joiner machines

Experience in high end carpentry techniques and woodworking principles
Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders, all wood machines
Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, planes, and screwdrivers
