Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you thrive in a dynamic and nurturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a SEN Residential Support Worker in Swadlincote.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to students aged 9-19 with a range of SEN needs.
Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and promote independence.
Support students in their educational, social, and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans.
Participate in weekend work on a rota basis, ensuring continuity of care.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
Must be a driver with a valid driving license.
Previous experience working with SEN students in a care setting or SEN school.
Strong understanding of various SEN needs and the ability to adapt approaches accordingly.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends as part of a rota.
A compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or education.
First aid certification.
