Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Press Brake Setter / Operator to join their team on a temp to perm basis. As a key player in the production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brakes to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure production targets are met efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate all CNC press brakes
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and engineering drawings
Ensure production processes are cost-effective and report any time overruns
Promote and maintain quality standards in collaboration with the Quality Manager
Follow 'Standard Operating Procedures' and adhere to health and safety guidelines
Assist in developing ideas to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Support training requirements and mentor team members
Provide feedback to management to enhance processes and quality control

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC press brakes
Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
Knowledge of production processes and efficiency optimisation
Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment

Additional Skills:

Experience with lean manufacturing principles
Competence in using CAD software
Knowledge of material properties and their impact on press brake operations
Ability to analyse production data for continuous improvement
