About the Role: We are currently recruiting a dedicated and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a Community Facing Rehabilitation and Recovery service at a well-established mental health facility in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a significant impact on patient recovery and well-being.

About the Facility: This rehabilitation hospital is situated in the heart of Birmingham, offering a community-centric approach to care. The facility caters to women with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and personality disorder, often with complex needs. The hospital has a well-established relationship with NHS partners, ensuring smooth patient transitions from the facility back into the community with robust follow-up support.

Key Responsibilities: As a Consultant Psychiatrist in this role, you will:

Lead Patient Care: Serve as the Responsible Clinician for the facility, supervising the referral and admission process and conducting pre-admission assessments.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement comprehensive care plans that support patient recovery.
Shape the Future: Contribute to the ongoing development of the service and play a key role in training and mentoring other healthcare professionals.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the specialist register for Psychiatry.
Experience: Proven experience at Consultant level in inpatient settings, ideally with exposure to working with individuals who have complex mental health needs and forensic histories.
Leadership: A proactive and compassionate leader with the ability to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team.
