Warehouse Operative/Picker

We are currently recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives on behalf of our client, a prestigious company based in Theale. They are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join there team, to start IMMEDIATELY

Shifts Available:

* 09:00am – 18:30pm

* Monday to Friday

Pay Rate:

* £12.06 – 12.65 per hour

Duties Include:

As a Warehouse Operative, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operations, including picking orders, wrapping pallets, managing goods in and dispatch, and getting orders ready for delivery. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that the right products are delivered to their clients.

* Picking Orders: Using a handheld scanner, you will accurately pick orders from the warehouse shelves, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. This will involve locating products using a computerized inventory system and following specific picking instructions.

* Wrapping Pallets: Once the orders are picked, you will be responsible for carefully wrapping and securing them onto pallets, ensuring they are stable and ready for transportation.

* Goods In: When new stock arrives, you will assist with the goods-in process, which includes unloading deliveries, checking quantities against the delivery notes, and accurately recording any discrepancies.

* Dispatch: Working closely with the warehouse supervisor, you will help prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring they are packaged correctly and labeled accurately. This will involve using various packaging materials and tools, such as bubble wrap, tape guns, and label printers.

* Getting Orders Ready for Delivery: As a crucial part of the warehouse team, you will ensure that the correct orders are loaded onto the delivery vehicles, coordinating with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to our clients.

Skills Required:

* Previous warehouse experience (Essential)

* Detail-oriented: Attentiveness to detail is vital in accurately picking orders and maintaining inventory records.

* Physically fit: The role involves manual handling, including lifting and carrying heavy items, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.

* Team player: You will work closely with other warehouse operatives and supervisors, so strong teamwork and communication skills are important.

* Time management: The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks is crucial in meeting deadlines and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
