Our client, a leading manufacturing company near Morley, West Yorkshire, is seeking a talented CNC Machine Setter/Operator to join their team. With Monday to Friday hours from 8am to 4:30 pm, a salary of £35,000, and perks including 25 days of annual leave, discounts on high-street brands, and a robust company pension, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth.
As a CNC Machine Setter, your responsibilities will include.
* Calculating and writing programs for CNC machines to fabricate parts to engineering specifications.
* Ensuring the CNC machines operate by the guidelines of the company
* Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
* Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
* Overseeing the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
* Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
* Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
* Recording all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
* Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
* Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
* Inspecting the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
Required experience:
* Must be able to write basic programmes for CNC machines.
* Prior experience setting and operating machinery.
* Be able to read mechanical blueprints.
