A great opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a company that is a market leader in meat processing. The role is full-time, permanent based at their site in Preston.

Key responsibilities:
· Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs in the productions departments.
· Support the Engineering/Production operations as required.
· Moving and re-installing of machinery when needed.
· Machine change overs and set ups.
· Carry out check sheets as required.
· Liaising with external contractors when necessary
· Maintaining effective working relationships with key site personnel
· Mentoring and training of single skilled engineers
· Adhering to Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety legislation

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
· Multi-skilled engineers ideally with both electrical and mechanical experience
· Proven track record in a multi-skilled engineering position
· Recognised engineering qualifications e.g. 17th Edition
· Be comfortable in working in a meat processing environment.
· Ability to work independently and proactively, using own initiative to solve problems.
· Excellent time management skills
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to do additional hours as and when required to meet business demands.

This role is working 39 hours a week. There are x2 different shifts available.

Shift 1: Week 1 working 5am to 1.30pm and alternating the following week to 9am - 5.30pm. This role is paying an hourly rate of £18.00 plus £40.00 bonus and Overtime paid at 1.5.
Shift 2: Monday 6am - 6:30pm, Tuesday 6am - 6:30pm, Wednesday 4pm - 11:30pm and Sunday 6am - 3pm. This role is also paying an hourly rate of £18.00 plus £40.00 bonus and Overtime paid at 1.5.
