Slitting Machine Operator

Our client are a long standing company based in Southend. They are recruiting for Slitting Machine Operators. Working as part of a team to produce finished slit materials. To assist where trained in other areas of the factory.

* Learn Slitting operations using machinery on site.

* Ensuring that material produced is to correct specification.

* Working safely around blades and sharps on machinery.

* Understand quality requirements of slit material within the business.

* Minimise waste from process.

* Highlight any machine defects and breakages on machine to Team Leader and Engineering.

* Produce reel labels for finished material, ensuring that all detail is correct and information meets customer requirements.

* Pack material

* Actively support other operators within department in training.

* Complete daily time sheets as requested.

* Safe operation of electric hoists, work savers and pallet trucks within factory.

* Report faults and escalate where appropriate.

* Report all incidents (however trivial) that involve moving vehicles, worksavers etc.

* Use a positive approach when dealing with the role.

* Become an important element within the team.

Experience required in a similar role. Hours are 6am-2pm Monday to Friday.

Salary £28,724 per annum plus a nice range of company benefits
