Barker Ross are currently looking for a Site Engineer for a co-pack operation in Rugby.

It is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions.

This role is a permanent position.

The working hours are 6:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 Monday - Friday.

The salary for this position Is £40,000 per annum DOE.

Ideally looking for a candidate with Food manufacturing equipment experience.

Day to day duties will include:

Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion
Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root cause in repair process
Carrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy
Complete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processes
Identify and report all stock /spares issues
Liaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipment
Prioritise own work load with consideration to output, product quality and line efficiency
Proactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies
Complete all line checks and documentation as required
To assist in the training and development of new starters
To act as a role model for best practice
Monitor, control and minimise waste
Play an active part in continuous improvement
To participate in the companies PDP program
To act as specialist for machinery knowledge
Drive own personal development through training and work based experience
Manage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.

Quality and Safety

To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company Health, Safety and Quality regulations
Provide a service based on Reliability, Quality and Repeatability, which is both measurable and auditable.
To ensure that all areas comply with hygiene audits, both internal and external.
To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
Support Management team in development of standardised systems across Region.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Requirements:

Working knowledge of 240/415v power and distribution
Working knowledge of control circuits 24v and control philosophy
Working knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics H&S L2 Qualification
The ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner
Listen and encourage new ideas from others
