The SLT and governers are seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to inspire and engage students in the world of music.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach music across Key Stages 3 and 4 preparing students for GCSE examinations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive music curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love for music.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to students of varying abilities.

* Develop and implement a music curriculum that aligns with national standards.

* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

* Encourage and motivate students to participate in school concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities.

* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their potential.

* Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and contribute to the wider school community.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in music education and integrate new techniques and technologies into teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* A degree in Music or a related field.

* Experience teaching music at the secondary school level.

* Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance.

* Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.

* Excellent classroom management skills.

* Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

* Experience in preparing students for GCSE music examinations.

* Experience in directing school choirs, orchestras, or bands.

* Familiarity with music technology and software.
