Workshop Controller required for an Independent Garage in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

Salary DOE in the region of £50k basic
Working hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm and every other Saturday morning 9am-1pm

We are an established and reputable independent garage located in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Our garage is known for providing high-quality automotive services, including repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, to the highest standards, and within agreed timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the workflow within the workshop, ensuring jobs are allocated to the appropriate technicians.

* Monitor the progress of all work, ensuring it is completed on time and to a high standard.

* Liaise with suppliers to provide updates

* Maintain and promote a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure quality control.

* Coordinate with parts suppliers to ensure timely availability of necessary parts.

* Provide technical support and guidance to technicians as needed.

* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and update systems accordingly.

* Diagnosing Jobs

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, or similar role within an automotive workshop.

* Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance.

* Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Full UK driving license.
