The Head of Purchasing role is a pivotal position within our FMCG firm, responsible for leading the Procurement & Supply Chain department. The successful candidate will manage, plan and coordinate the procurement of materials from domestic and international sources.

Description

Develop purchasing strategies and oversee their implementation.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
Examine and test existing contracts and partnerships.
Track and report key functional metrics.
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.Profile

A successful 'Head of Purchasing' should have:

Proven working experience as a procurement manager or head of procurement in the FMCG industry.
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in reading the market.
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
Experience in collecting and analysing data.Job Offer
