Position: Wood Machinist

Salary: £16.50 per hour + excellent benefits package

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Location: Lopen, South Petherton, Somerset

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wood Machinist to join our friendly team in South Petherton, Somerset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting the following machines to ensure we meet our production targets and maintain high quality standards:

Moulders / 4 Siders
Spindle Moulder
Thicknesser
Cross Cut
Your role as a Wood Machinist is crucial as you will be the last person to inspect our products before they are delivered to our customers. You must be able to:

Accurately record part numbers against orders on our company computer system
Check all items for defects before packing
Pack items in a way that prevents any damage during transit
Produce client-specific labels on a computer
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience in wood machining, including operating and setting 4-sided moulders
Experience in grinding profiles and sharpening blocks
Good knowledge of woodworking machinery and the ability to operate such machinery
