About us:
My client are an IT and telecommunication company operating as an ISP in the
northeast of England. Offering FTTP and WISP internet access to areas all over the
northeast and upper midlands.

About the role:
Including, but not limited to:
The role of a level 2 engineer will be to troubleshoot customer issues that have been
escalated from level 1 support. This involves office and field-based work. Working
between our fibre and wireless networks, customer support tickets will be actioned
and customers communicated with. This will involve checking radio links, fibre dBm,
power failures as well as improving or installing Wi-Fi equipment in customer homes.
If unable to resolve from the office, a site visit will be required. Weekend work might
also be required. The role is 40 hours spread across the week, possibly working shift
patterns.

Responsibilities:
• Resolving level 2 tickets with the team.
• Attending site visits.
• Checking daily battery relay points on wireless networks.
• Ensuring detailed handovers at the start/end of shifts.
• And any other duties required by Senior Management.

Candidate requirements:
• Basic understanding of network principals.
• Basic understanding of WLAN technology.
• Physically capable of aligning/replacing point to point radios.
• Daily review of all support tickets.
