About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our passionate team for a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP. In this role, you will provide tailored interventions and individual support to students with ASD in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them achieve their full potential.

This newly created position aims to enhance our support for pupils with ASD and ensure high-quality, individualised assistance. You will work with small groups and individual students, with class sizes ranging from 15 to 20, and collaborate closely with teaching staff to implement personalized learning plans and strategies. This role offers a unique chance to significantly impact the educational experiences of children with ASD within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working with children with ASD, preferably in a school setting.

• Qualifications: While a relevant qualification is preferred, practical experience and a deep understanding of ASD are essential.

• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with both students and staff.

• Knowledge: Familiarity with effective strategies for supporting students with ASD, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, helping them to engage with the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.

• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans and monitor student progress.

• Resource Preparation: Assist in the development and preparation of resources and materials tailored to the needs of students with ASD.

• Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, behavior, and well-being, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
