Learning Support Assistant

We are working with a dynamic and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with a range of diverse needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our passionate team in making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
As a Learning Support Assistant , you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to students with SEN, such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex and challenging behaviours, adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic approach to student development.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a SEN setting.
* Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
* Understanding of different learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
* DBS registered to the update service
