Position: Health and Social Care Teacher

Overview:

Supply Desk is partnering with a well-regarded Secondary School near central Bournemouth, seeking a dedicated full-time Health and Social Care teacher to start in September. This long-term contract has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stages 3 and 4, with ample time allocated for planning and marking. The school is looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a positive approach to teaching and relationship-building. This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers. The school is also open to considering unqualified or non-specialist teachers with relevant experience in teaching Health and Social Care at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons that facilitate understanding of the subject and its real-world applications.
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
Assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities.
About the School:

The school is a mixed secondary school in Bournemouth for students aged 11 to 16 years. It has a strong reputation and a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that values the school's ethos. The school is conveniently located near central Bournemouth, making it accessible for those using public transport. The school holds a 'Good' Ofsted rating from 2022.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care or a related field (required).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care to secondary school students.
