As a member of the engineering department, you will be tasked with helping to ensure that essential medicines can continue to be produced by maintaining the plant in good working order. This is a rewarding job and as an understudy to the Head of Facilities this position offers an exciting opportunity not only to advance your knowledge and develop specialist skills but also the prospect of promotion as part of our longer-term succession planning and provides the unique opportunity to get involved in the commissioning of the new pharmaceutical facilities.
This is a hands-on role, so the successful candidate is expected to be competent in basic mechanical and/or electrical engineering maintenance. Experience of working with refrigeration, air conditioning and gas are desirable but not essential. Training will be provided in specialist areas including steam raising plant, water purification and sterilizers. The post holder will also work to support the Company's competent safety officer in ensuring that the Company continues to meet its health and safety obligations.
The position does have an on-call commitment for which there is a generous retained hours compensation scheme which provides for a favourable work/life balance.
