Interim Commercial Officer

Cedar are supporting a Central Government client who are looking to hire an Interim Commercial Officer. This role is classed as INSIDE IR35 offering a day rate ranged from £300 up to £400 per day. This role will run initially for 6-months (potential to extend) and will operate on a home based basis with the expectations to go on-site 1-2 days per month at offices in either London, Leeds or York. Please note this role will commence in October 2024.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of commercial/policy related activities such as; ensuring compliance with the new Procurement Act 2023, updating policy and guidance documents where required and help identity and mitigate risks to ensure operational efficiency.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

experience working in a similar role in the Public Sector i.e. experience working in Commercial, Policy, Procurement etc.
strong understanding of PCR2015 and an awareness of the Procurement Act 2023
good understanding of procurement policies, processes and best practice
strong written and verbal communication skills
