Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our client's site at their manufacturing site near Swadlincote.
The Warehouse Shift Manager will be a key team player within the management team, responsible for managing the shift warehouse operation in accordance with site policies and procedures and ensure smooth operation in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities as Warehouse Shift Manager:
With the support of the Warehouse Manager, ensure sufficient shift resources are allocated and if necessary address any agreed variations to budget.
To ensure all Operators carry out their duties to the required operational standard as per any applicable SOP's and training.
Responsible for the Health & Safety of all shift staff within the area.
Management of Shift rotas and crew size to be within budget (Including Agency)
Control and management of all processes and practices within area to ensure that quality and outputs targets are met
Continuous Improvement activities to improve People, Quality & Profit.
Attend daily operational meetings reporting relevant service levels and other metrics.
Manage the coaching and development of staff with clear objectives and timelines.
Carry out any required investigations and / or disciplinary meetings.
Atoss management of Team approval requests / overtime authorisation
Management of service levels to ensure we deliver on time, in full, without complaint.
Operator training and coaching
Overtime planning/back-up for absent Operators.
Responsible for completion of work and delivered at the required level.
Ensure all daily deliveries are booked into Navision capturing any discrepancies escalating any unresolved PO's.What's in for you?
Salary Circa £40,000
Monday - Friday, rotational shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm -10pm)
25 days holiday + bank holidays

Career progressionSkills required to be Warehouse Shift Manager
A minimum of 2 year's experience within a similar role
Ability to troubleshoot warehouse issues and implement solutions effectively.
Previous experience working within a FMCG environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills communicating at all levels.
Excellent Management skills.
Working knowledge on WMSQualifications
Qualification in Management or demonstrable experience
Level 2 Food Safety, would be desirable.
