A senior HR professional is sought for a lively co-educational academy based in North London, part of a national multi-academy trust. The HR Partner will act as the first point of call in the provision of school HR support, working closely with the Chief People Officer and the broader HR team implementing national initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide appropriate advice and guidance to the school in line with Trust policies and best practice
* Provide on-site and remote, proactive support and undertake case management work
* Responsible for the line management and development of the HR Advisor
* Manage and control the school’s single central record (SCR)
* Maintain administrative oversight of key employment information and records
* Undertake HR induction, exit interviews and off-boarding procedures for all school-based staff
* Support the Chief People Officer in driving the performance management process
* Provide coaching to line managers to ensure the continuous development of employees
* Comprehensive experience of end to end of the Employee Relations cycle
* Proactively and robustly manage sickness absence
* Be an experienced manager with a strong coaching style to develop direct reports
The successful candidate will possess a minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification, bringing experience of proactive HR service provision at a senior advisor level within the education sector. With advanced knowledge of HR database systems (People HR, ITrent) you will also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Operating in a consultative manner, you will demonstrate confidence and the ability to push back, whilst maintaining professional relationships. You will be able to work operationally whilst demonstrating the ability to think strategically. Extensive experience in providing robust, proactive employee relations advice will be necessary. You will be able to use your own initiative and work alone when required, meeting tight deadlines and plan and manage time effectively.
This is a permanent, full-time role, 52 weeks per annum, onsite 4 days per week.
