A teacher is needed for a special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for primary school students aged 3-11.

As a teacher for this SEN school, you will be working a particularly rewarding and fulfilling role, supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

Your responsibilities as a teacher may include:

Lesson planning and delivery for students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. This may include alternative teaching methods, such as Lego therapy and intensive interaction sessions.
Helping students to develop confidence and independence.
Implementing behaviour management techniques, which may include physical restraints, to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Working with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists
Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

To be a teacher, you will need:

The right to work in the UK.
Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience will be considered.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS.
A clear and up-to-date DBS
Experience working with young people with SEN, particularly ASD.
A patient, caring attitude who can remain calm and supportive under pressure.
