The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our dynamic team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing our clients' Oracle environments, specifically within AWS.

Consulting as an Oracle DBA for a leading technology solutions provider, specialising in delivering secure, reliable and scalable IT infrastructure for a range of high-profile, public sector clients.

You will be responsible for managing and securing Oracle databases and middleware across various AWS-dominated environments, including Development, UAT, Live and Disaster Recovery (DR).

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our clients' systems, particularly within client’s AWS Modernisation platform.

N.B. Candidates will have or be willing to undergo a basic level of security clearance prior to starting the role.

Skills and Experience:

Oracle Database Administration: extensive experience in Oracle DBA tasks, particularly in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).

Security Patching: proven experience in performing database and middleware patching, with a focus on maintaining high levels of security and compliance.

WebLogic Expertise: strong knowledge and experience in upgrading and managing Oracle WebLogic servers, including backup and restoration processes.

AWS Familiarity: hands-on experience working within AWS environments, particularly in managing and modernizing enterprise-level platforms.

Problem-Solving: ability to handle ad-hoc tasks and troubleshoot complex database issues across multiple environments.
