Our client based in North Yorkshire is looking for a Hydraulics Engineer on a full time permanent bases. the company are based in York but this role a field service engineer role.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and repairs on a variety of hydraulic systems.
Undertake field service work on customer sites and respond to on-call/reactive breakdowns.
Identify faults in hydraulic equipment and carry out necessary repairs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow written/verbal instructions.
Maintain effective communication with customers to understand their requirements.
Conduct final inspections to ensure work meets the company's quality control criteria.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Recognised apprenticeship or significant relevant experience.
Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using applicable hand tools.
Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
Training and experience in working on hydraulic equipment and systems.
Previous experience on customer sites, including Power Stations & Petrochemical.
Flexibility and adaptability to change.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
