Our client is a leading manufacturer in based in Sandwich, Kent. Our client is commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking an experienced Stores Operative to join their Operations team.

As Stores Operative you are integral to the business, being part of a busy dynamic environment that changes daily. Your list of duties will be varied and will need to be carried out with high levels of care. You are required to perform a variety of tasks in receiving, storing, accounting for, distributing, shipping, and issuing equipment, apparatus, materials, and supplies; and perform other related duties as required.

Eligibility to obtain security clearance to SC level is a prerequisite for all candidates.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Goods In activities of receipting, counting and ERP data entry.
Warehouse maintenance including stock movements and stock control using the ERP system.
Allocation of stock and the kitting of components into Works Packages.
Maintaining traceability of goods and materials.
Preparing materials for shipping to external processors and the receipt of goods after outside processing has taken place.
Packing of goods ready for dispatch following industry standards or customer requirements.
Booking of couriers and the dispatch of goods ensuring that Export Compliance rules are followed.
Other general maintenance activities.
Driving details as required.
Carrying out any additional tasks as required by line management.

Skills & Abilities:

Working within a warehouse environment or similar role
Effective communicator both written and orally.
Computer literate (MS Office packages)

Multi-Skilled with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Customer & quality focused

Qualifications:

Forklift License (Preferable not essential)
English and Maths GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent)
