Document Controller

Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for an experienced Document Controller/ Expeditor to work at our client's site in Peterlee on a permanent part-time basis. The role of Document Controller/ Expeditor will be 30 hours per week based on site.

As Document Controller/ Expediter you will have responsibility for managing supplier deliveries in order to minimise delivery slippages and maximise on-time delivery as well as providing regular and accurate status updates to internal customers so the effects of any supplier delivery issues can be minimised.

The individual must have previous document control/ expediting experience preferably in a manufacturing or engineering company, and be IT literate. They must be able to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally, have the ability to identify and manage priority items and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.

Document Control/ Expeditor Key Accountabilities Include;

Timely and accurate control and management of Supplier status reports to enable the business to react to any issues quickly.

Liaison with key Suppliers to ensure they clearly understand the business delivery requirements and our expectations of them.

Communicate with key internal stakeholders on a timely basis to ensure the business can adjust where necessary to meet our Customer's delivery requirements.

Attend the weekly production meetings to understand evolving business priorities and provide latest delivery estimates and outstanding issues.

Working with QA and Goods Inwards with regard to documentation, inspection and quarantine issues.

Assisting the Procurement Manager to help develop the business Supply Chain through site visits and regular feedback.

Help resolve invoice disputes.

This is a part time role working 30 hours per week.
Salary is £28,000 pro rata.
Working hours are flexible, Monday - Friday.
