Teaching Assistant - Ashford

Long-term, full-time role available at a Special Needs School in the Ashford area. The hours would be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and the candidate MUST drive and have their own vehicle.

As a Teaching Assistant at Tradewind Recruitment, you'll play a crucial role in supporting pupils with ASD in their educational journey. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing one-on-one assistance, facilitating group activities, and creating a nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing individualised support to pupils with ASD, helping them achieve their academic and social goals.
Assisting classroom teachers in implementing tailored learning strategies and behaviour management techniques.
Collaborating with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
Utilising your driving skills to reach different schools within the wider Ashford area, ensuring consistent support across various settings.What We Offer:

Full interview preparation by myself prior to interviewing at the school - we would go through our own in-house preparation materials as well as the school role, values, and anything else that would be useful and of course answser any questions you might haveRequirements:

A genuine passion for working with children with ASD.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
Hold a DBS or be willing to get a new one (this costs £46 and we will pay you BACK the cost after 20 days of work)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
