A dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school on the outskirts of Wigan, the role will be full time and will start in September and will be for the whole of the upcoming academic year, until July 2025.
The school has a very good reputation in the local community and has good transport links & there is a large on site car park. This position is full time and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Maths teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved in the school & department, attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering engaging lessons, marking the work and providing feedback along the way.
This role is open to ECTs as well as fully qualified teachers.

Minimum rate of pay from £150 per day
Hours 8:20am 4pm Monday to Friday
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however not essential to be Maths related)
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Maths
Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
Recent experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management and FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80
Provide a minimum of two professional references
