QHS Manager Required
Trading for over 100 years, our client is a leading supplier to the food and drink industry.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality, Health & Safety (QHS) Manager. This role is crucial to maintaining their high standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and certifications. The QHS Manager will lead initiatives to improve quality control, ensure a safe working environment, and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm based in Basildon, Essex.

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 (DOE)
20 days holiday + bank holidaysQHS Manager - Main Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations (e.g., ISO, BRC)
Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with legislation and best practices.
Ensuring all relevant quality and H&S documentation is completed and maintained.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place to mitigate identified risks.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Organise and conduct health and safety training for employees, ensuring awareness and compliance with H&S regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

QHS Manager - Requirements:
Proven experience in a Quality, Health, and Safety management role, preferably within the food & beverage industry.
In-depth knowledge of QHS regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001, BRC, HACCP, OSHA).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
