Part timeConnaught Education is proudly supporting London's oldest and most prestigious independent fifth and sixth form college in appointing a College Counsellor on a part time basis from September or October 2024. The role in question is a fixed term contract for one year with the potential for extension.

The independent school in question is renowned for its outstanding academic and pastoral offering to pupils, catering for a diverse range of highly engaged young people between the ages of 14 to 19 who go on to the best universities in the UK and around the world.

Wellbeing is at the heart of all the college does, the successful Counsellor will be joining an established team. The role will involve your own caseload, supporting pupils with emotional health and wellbeing, allowing them to overcome barriers to learning.

The successful Counsellor will have the following:

BACP accreditation, UKCP registration or BPC
Postgraduate Diploma or Masters level in Counselling or Psychotherapy
Minimum two years' post-qualification experience
Minimum one year's experience of working with children and young people
An understanding of the developmental, emotional, social and educational issues of children and young people
