Asbestos Lab Analyst

Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Stafford, Staffordshire.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £28k + Training + Benefits

We are working with a professional and industry leading Asbestos Consultancy who are currently looking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst. This role would suit someone who holds the BOHS P401 qualification and will have experience carrying out sample analysis, completing job sheets, and maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation. This role would benefit someone who wants to join a successful company who pride themselves in providing excellent training and progression to their employees.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Cannock, Rugley, Market Drayton, Stoke-on-Trent, Lichfield, Whitchurch, Leek, Ashbourne, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Experience & Qualifications:
" BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
" Experience working hands on as a lab analyst for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" Will have excellent knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
" IT literate, able to fill out job sheets correctly.
" Professional communication skills.
" Excellent observational skills.
" Able to prioritise work within a fast paced work environment.

The Role:
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines and using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out asbestos bulk sample analysis.
" Correctly logging samples onto internal systems before safely storing in the laboratory upon arrival.
" Safely preparing samples for analysis.
" Completing job sheets upon completion of sample analysis.
" Calibrating equipment when required.
" Ensuring the laboratory is kept tidy and clean in line with safe working practices.
" Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Professionally liaising with clients when required, proving technical advice.
