Cover Supervisor - Stockport
We are specifically working with a 'Good' secondary school in Stockport looking for a Cover Supervisor, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them helping with ad hoc internal illness, covering key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
As a Cover Supervisor you will need to cover lessons set by other teachers, managing behaviour, and ensuring there is a conducive learning environment. You will have to address questions or concerns from students in the lesson, keeping them focused on progressing through the lesson. You will have to follow the school's policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the students and maintain behaviour. You will have to assist with administrative tasks including calling home and logging behaviour.
The opportunity is to work at a school that has 'Good' behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lesson and around the school site. Teachers' expectations of pupils' behaviour and achievements are high. There are also wide opportunities for students to engage in the local community and in the school life.

Minimum rate of pay - from £100 per day.
Hours - 8:30-16:00
Experience, Training and qualifications:
Secondary School experience or evidence of working with children
Degree or High A-Level in English
GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or '4' & above
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
Up to date Prevent training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)To be eligible you must have/be:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 2 years.
