Team Leader - Finishing Department

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 10 direct reports, ensuring the high-quality finishing of GRP products. With a focus on efficiency and performance, you will collaborate with stakeholders to optimise work flow and drive continuous improvement.

Main Duties:

Manage and motivate a team of GRP finishing specialists, ensuring efficiency of work flow and high-quality output.
Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
Oversee all stages of the finishing process, from materials procurement to final inspection and quality control.
Participate in weekly team planning meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
Generate reports to highlight areas for improvement and team progress.
Set KPIs for the finishing team and monitor individual performance through regular appraisals.
Implement data-driven initiatives to enhance team efficiency.

Ancillary Duties:

Carry out additional tasks and duties as required by Senior Management.
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Promote company values and maintain code of conduct and ethics.

Qualifications and Experience:

Manufacturing process control experience.
Proven team management and leadership experience.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
Effective communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
