About the role of Design Manager

Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a national main contractor in their search for a Design manager. The role is for a Design manager, who can comfortably commute into Farringdon, Central London, to assist the construction of commercial, residential, hotel and leisure projects across London. You will be required on site or office 5 days per week. This will start as a temporary basis and may continue to a permanent contract.

Responsibilities for Design Manager

You will, produce and manage a realistic, design programme and information required schedule to facilitate design, procurement and construction activities.

Support the continuous, initiatives and innovation.

Ensure the design has been reviewed and verified to achieve compliance and mitigate Health and Safety, design and buildability issues prior to construction and identify key risks and opportunities at each stage of the design and delivery process.

Support tendering and pre con stages

Requirements for Design Manager

Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM.

Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment

Competent user of MS packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word (essential)

Degree qualified in a relevant construction subject (essential)

Fawkes and Reece are currently working with a main contractor based in London. A construction company. Founded 8 years ago this company has now grown with over 150 employees. They work with a wide range of both public and private sectors.
