Location: Littlehampton (office based)
Salary: £50-55k plus an excellent benefits package

An excellent opportunity awaits a dedicated Sales Office Manager to join a manufacturing company in Littlehampton. This role involves leading a team responsible for producing quotations, managing purchasing, processing sales orders, and providing first-level technical support and excellent service to customers. Close collaboration with the Sales Director ensures smooth operations and alignment with the company's overall strategy. The successful candidate will join a prominent global manufacturer with a diverse product range designed to meet the most demanding customer needs. Comprehensive product training and ongoing professional development will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Oversee day-to-day operations and communication within the Internal Sales team, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Purchasing Coordination: Manage the purchasing of products from third-party suppliers and the company's factories.
Order Processing: Handle the order process from receipt to delivery, including import/export compliance and coordination with warehouse and logistics for timely delivery.
Spare Parts Sales: Oversee the sales of spare parts and develop a new online spares shop.
Quotation Management: Supervise the process of producing selections and quotations, ensuring efficient automated systems.
ISO Processes: Maintain and update relevant ISO processes and procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process.
Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, develop plans, and manage the training and development of the Internal Sales Team.
Collaboration: Assist the Sales Director with managing price lists, new product launches, and arranging team meetings for smooth coordination.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Marketing Contributions: Contribute to marketing plans and promotional campaigns, including digital marketing and promotional webinars.
Data Management: Manage data on the CRM system to report on daily sales operations and track performance metrics.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to build strong relationships for overall business success.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and the company's products to support the sales team and customers.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in managing sales teams and administrative processes, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Management Skills: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role, including performance reviews, coaching, feedback, development plans, managing absence, and maintaining high standards.
Technical Skills: Confident in the use of CRM and ERP systems; SAP experience is desirable. Proficiency in Excel and interpreting reports is essential.
Educational Background: Business, Marketing, or Management qualification is desirable. A technical diploma or degree in engineering or design is advantageous.
Industry Knowledge: Experience within the HVAC industry (e.g., air handling units, HVAC controls, air conditioning equipment) is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for liaising between departments and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Social Media Awareness: Awareness of social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) and their value in sales.
