Weighbridge Operator

My client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operative to join thier team at thier Waste Disposal Site in Crewe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate recording of waste entering and leaving the site, and providing excellent customer service to drivers and site visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Weighbridge Operations: Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles, ensuring that all waste is correctly recorded and categorized.

* Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of all transactions using weighbridge software and generate reports as required.

* Customer Interaction: Provide clear and courteous instructions to drivers, ensuring smooth site operations.

* Compliance: Ensure all vehicles comply with site health and safety regulations, as well as environmental guidelines.

* Documentation: Prepare and issue weighbridge tickets and any necessary documentation for waste transfer.

* Issue Resolution: Address any discrepancies or issues that arise during the weighing process in a professional and efficient manner.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with site staff to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Previous experience in a similar role or in a waste management environment is preferred.

* Strong numerical and data entry skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with drivers and site visitors.

* Basic IT skills, with experience using weighbridge software being an advantage.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.

* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to waste disposal sites is desirable.

This job has an immediate start and has the potential to become a permanant position for the right candidate.

Working hours Monday-Friday 7am-5.30pm
