Ward Manager Independent Hospital

Location Crowborough commutable from Wadhurst, Hastings, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Bexhill etc

Salary circa £45,000

The Ward Manager will work as an effective member of the team, focusing on the clinical model which is aimed at recovery, improving skills and independence for all patients. The Ward Manager will take a lead role within the ward's multidisciplinary team, which consists of nursing, psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy and pharmacy.

Patients are supported by a highly skilled, experienced and trained team of clinicians and healthcare professionals working with patients in an environment of hope, positive regard and empowerment.

Duties to include

•Being responsible for complete operational management of the site.
•Day to day oversight of staffing, resources, roster management and workforce planning.
•Provide supervision, professional development and promotion of staff well-being.
•Participates with the on call responsibility working within a rotational basis, alongside other senior nurse colleagues.
•Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and eating disorder
•Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
•Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
•Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
•At a more senior level, you will also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
