Supply Desk are seeking outreach support workers for a Special Educational Needs School in Portsmouth

Starting from September 2024

Hours: Full time

Pay: up to £13 per hour

A varied and exciting support role is on offer for a local SEND school in Portsmouth. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is happy to journey out of the classroom to support children in their own home environments. This would be working with a range of children and making a rel difference to their educational needs. 

Job Description:

Desire to work throughout Key stage 2,3,and 4
Desire to support children with SEMH, ASC and ADHD needs
Hand delivering packs of work to children’s home addresses
Be able to support children with the work provided
Liaise closely with parents and guardians
Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
Location: Close to central Portsmouth
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Length: Long Term – Potential to become permanent
Hours: full time
Individual Profile:

A nurturing and caring nature
GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
Experience of working with additional needs (desirable)
Passionate, enthusiastic and resilient individual
Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
Have access to your own car with a clean driving license
