Laboratory Technician

Lab Technician
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary : DOE
Monday to Friday, 8.30am -5.00pm
The role: Preparation of samples for customer briefs.
* Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and good laboratory practices
* To accurately dispense oils in a clean and safe manner to finished products, meeting the deadlines required from the project initiator, salesperson, perfumer or Laboratory Manager.
* To maintain the fragrance library in a neat & tidy manner in order that contamination of fragrance oils can be prevented.
* To transfer finished samples to agreed deadlines to project initiator according to quality guidelines.
* To liaise with the project initiators, perfumers or Laboratory Manager any issues that may delay sample deadlines.
* To help maintain stock of all laboratory consumables jars bottles etc.
* Qualification
* Graduate or studying toward a relevant qualification in a related science field will be an advantage
Skills and knowledge Required:
* Good communication at all levels
* Good sense of smell
* Good computer literacy.
* Good time management and multi-tasking skills
* Ability to work under pressure, in a team or as an individual
* Methodical and precise working practices
* Keen eye for detail
