My client is recruiting for a Family Hubs Team Leader based within the local Authority in West London and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

To supervise and line manage a team of practitioners and Family Hub coordinators working across the age range delivering a range of targeted group work and outreach services to young children and their families.
To work innovatively to develop solutions to often complex challenges to ensure the continued delivery of key services within the hubs across the borough; flexing and utilising resources and capacity to meet the required needs of the business.
To work collaboratively with the Early Help team to ensure appropriate step up/down pathways are in place to ensure families receive the right support at the right time
To provide high quality supervision and line management
Maintaining effective working relationships with wider services to ensure the hub offer is suitable for children and young people.
Developing and modelling best practice in relation to Team around the Family/School/Children’s Centres within the service and with partner agencies
Requirements

Excellent understanding of both ‘strengths based’ and ‘outcomes focused’ work, with a demonstrable knowledge of appropriate and effective evidence-based problem-solving interventions with children, young people and families, and the skills to support staff in developing these where needed.
Substantial experience of working with children and families, preferably within a local authority setting, demonstrating a clear understanding of the range of issues that impact on children and young people’s lives
Experience of working with families with complex needs and a sound understanding of threshold management.
Substantial knowledge of issues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children, child protection issues and evidence of training completed.
Previous local Authority experience Contract 

Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend 
PAYE via Umbrella 
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm 
5 days in the office 
you will be required to work across 3 sites
As the role is Local Authority based candidates will be asked to complete an onboarding & compliance checks including DBS & Online training modules prior to starting.
