Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical based) vacancy for food manufacturing company based in Dunstable.

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 but flexibility with working hours needed.

Salary 40k depending on experience.

Roles:

1.To support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering planned maintenance.

2.Engineering support to all food production, processing & packaging machinery, conveyor systems.

3.Dismantle and re-assemble all production equipment.

4.Required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new and old machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance.

5.Responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.

6.Carry out preventative maintenance checks, cleaning and lubrication of all equipment and plant following approved company methods.

7.Ensure all approved food safety codes of practice are followed pre and post work

8.Respond to out of hours call out for breakdowns.

9.Install new equipment/carry out alterations to internal structures.

Desired qualifications:

1.City and Guilds NVQ level 3 or higher in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

2.Experience working as a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer in either the Food/FMCG or production environment.

3.With good levels of experience working with pumps, sensors, motors, gear boxes, PLCs as well as pneumatics and hydraulics system.

4.Possess mechanical fitting/fabrication skills, knowledgeable in welding and plumbing (desirable).

5.Positive attitude towards colleagues and work.

6.Able to work under pressure and flexibility to be available for call outs.

7.Ability to work accurately, methodically and independently.

8.A willingness to learn and self-motivated.

9.Physically fit and able to work at height
