We are now seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the team, and take charge of policy and ensure adherence.

Day to day responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

* Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop action plans to address any issues.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, providing information and documentation as required.

* Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and health and safety topics for employees at all levels of the organization.

* Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.

* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent re-occurrence.

* Keep abreast of developments in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and advise management on their implications for the organization.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and health and safety considerations into business processes and decision-making.

* Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications

* Demonstrable experience in a compliance or health and safety role in the construction industry.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

* Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance and health and safety programs.

* Experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
