Job Requirements

Extensive experience in NRSWA inspections
Current NRSWA supervisor streetworks card
Must have own vehicle (parking permits provided)
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
In-depth knowledge of street and road works legislation and Health and Safety at live sites
Sound understanding of the SROH for interpretation of coring results
Ability to serve S74, FPNs and defect fines
Capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Key Responsibilities

Undertake liaison duties with utilities and understand their apparatus
Assess reinstatement materials and performance levels on different road classifications
Lead on introducing processes to close historic trenches in line with new legislation
Conduct site meetings to represent the Council and uphold its reputational and financial obligations
Issue defect notices and manage challenges by statutory undertakers
Oversee approximately 800/900 sites to ensure timely closure of reinstatements before the financial year end
This is a three-month rolling contract role which includes provisions such as a laptop and mobile phone. Parking permits will be provided to avoid parking violations in certain areas.
