EC&I Technician

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large power generation company to recruit an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join their Energy from Waste plant in Boston, Lincolnshire.

The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of £50,000 + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:

· Fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems

· Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems

· Programming the sites DCS/PLC systems

· Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)

· Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work

· Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS

· Supervising and directing on site contractors when required

· Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

· A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC

· At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc

· Candidates with an instrumentation bias are preferred

Personal skills

The EC&I Technician role would suit someone who is:

· Ability to work well alone or in a team

· Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.

· Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
