Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Harrow (Residential Projects)

Salary: £75,000 per annum plus package

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage residential projects, with a primary focus on our current project in Harrow. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and residential construction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Project Planning and Management:

* Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

* Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

Mechanical Systems Oversight:

* Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and other residential mechanical components.

* Ensure all mechanical systems are installed and functioning according to specifications and regulations.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

* Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, providing direction and support.

* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.

* Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address issues, and adjust plans as necessary.

Quality Control and Safety:

* Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high standards of workmanship.

* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.

* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance and address any safety concerns.

Budget Management:

* Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates and financial reporting.

* Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure costs are within budget.

* Identify and manage potential financial risks and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

* Prepare and present regular project updates to clients and senior management.

* Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Documentation and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

* Prepare detailed project status reports and deliver presentations as required.

* Ensure all project records are up-to-date and accessible.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, ideally in residential construction projects.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and residential building codes and regulations.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools.

* Valid UK driving license.
