Our Client, an independently owned chemical manufacturing firm, is looking for a forward-thinking Project Manager to spearhead a series of critical infrastructure projects over the next few years.
About the Role: As the Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our Clients ambitious investment plan, which includes projects aimed at increasing production capacity and enhancing site infrastructure. With a budget ranging from tens of thousands to £2 million, you will lead initiatives such as installing new sprinklers, replacing boilers, and upgrading site facilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a site that is transitioning to a lower-tier COMAH site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, oversee, and deliver multiple projects on time, within scope, and budget.
* Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and track project performance across all sites.
* Design and implement risk mitigation strategies with significant autonomy.
* Collaborate closely with teams across different sites, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline is mandatory. Project Management certification (Prince II / PMP / APM PMQ) is preferred but not essential.
* Experience: At least 5 years in a chemical manufacturing or process industry environment, with a strong understanding of DSEAR, CDM, and COMAH regulations.
* Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
* Personal Attributes: We seek someone who is self-motivated, capable of working independently, and excited about the opportunity to build and improve processes in a growing team.
