First Achieve Engineering are seeking a Mechanical Fitter for an award-winning, global business, who specialise in the design and manufacture of supremely robust, high-technology solutions for various industries including foundries, forges, steelworks, nuclear plants and garbage disposal facilities. Our will be based out of their state-of-the-art facilities near East Kilbride.

Paying an hourly rate in the region of £18.00 per hour
2 Annual Bonuses in place, which pay more than £7,000 per year (Reliant on company profit figures)
39 Hours per week, typically 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday & 08:00 to 15:30 Friday, with opportunity for overtime at enhanced rates.
32 days annual leave
Company Sick Pay scheme (eligible after probation period)

Opportunity to purchase shares in the company. Each share may earn a dividend based on profit in Financial Year The main duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Assembly of various hydraulically operated machinery.
Inspection of various components prior to assembly.
Using conventional & specialised tools for assembly.
Assembly of hydraulic valves onto manifolds.
Assist in the creation of standard working procedures for typical processes.
Work as part of a team to contribute to the continuous improvement of the department, via productivity or efficiency improvements.
Adhere to good housekeeping practice, to ensure all equipment and working areas are kept clean and tidy. Skills Required:

Previous experience in a similar role.
Ability to read mechanical assembly & detail drawings.
Previous experience with inspection technics.
Must have a full UK driving licence.
Willing to travel worldwide if/when required. Desirable Experience

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic and electrics.
Reach, Counterbalance forklift truck & cherry picker licence.
