Job Summary:
The NICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach, exceptional clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
* Provide direct patient care to neonates, including assessments, treatments, and administering medications.
* Monitor vital signs and the progress of infants, promptly addressing any changes in condition.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
* Perform advanced nursing procedures and use specialized equipment specific to neonatal care.

Family Support:
* Educate and support parents and families, ensuring they understand their infant’s condition and treatment plans.
* Facilitate family involvement in the care process and provide emotional support during stressful times.

Collaboration:
* Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.

Documentation:
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
* Document all care, treatments, and observations promptly and accurately in the electronic medical record system.

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of NICU policies and procedures
